2017 and Idaho Gives

Cady 2017 Run in the Spirit 5-3-16 draftIdaho Gives

I am filled with gratitude for the kindness and generosity in our community.

Thanks to early donations from ISU Credit Unit, Civitans of Idaho Falls, Intermountain Emergency Physicians, D.L. Evans Bank, Teton Auto Group, Bill’s Bike and Run, Bank of Idaho, EITC Foundation, WestMark, and First Evangelical Lutheran Church, we are already close to being able to purchase FOUR AEDs for local schools this year instead of our previous two per year.

50% of schools in our community are still without AEDs, which have been used to save countless lives after sudden cardiac arrest. SCA is the leading cause of death of young athletes and can occur with severe trauma such as from a car crash.

The simple mission of People Against Impaired Driving (PAID), the nonprofit foundation my family and I established after Cady was killed in a head-on collision when she was only the tender age of 11, is to remind every driver:

Make Driving Safely Your Way of Life!

PAID is a participating nonprofit in Idaho Gives this year. Please think of Cady and what her life could have been every time you get behind the wheel and especially tomorrow, Idaho FB friends, when you donate to your favorite participating nonprofit. Most importantly, please register for the Cady Tucker Run in the Spirit and join our cause to save lives.
