Month: March 2019
The 2020 9th annual Cady Tucker Run in the Spirit is Sat., July 18th, at 7:30 a.m. in Freeman Park, Idaho Falls. Events will be largely virtual this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, but we are planning very limited in-person events with 6-fot social distancing. This run is in honor of my beloved daughter, Cady Tucker, a great 11-year-old runner, who was killed by a diabetic driver with unmanaged blood sugar. All run proceeds are used to purchase and donate automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to local schools. We are planning only a few relay teams, and a few 5K and 5-mile runners in person, but we are expecting a great turnout with virtual runners for all events: the 5-mile relay, 5K and 5-mile runs, and the kids fun run. 17 AEDs have been donated to local schools to date, costing nearly $30. We’re tremendously proud of that record–and would be proud to have you join us this year.
